Real experience
Dinner at The Capital Grille was everything we hope for in a fine dining experience. We started with Tuna Tartare with Avacado Mango and Siracha Ceasar salad, Gorgonzola crusted dry aged KC Strip with Cabernet reduction, sides of Sam’s mashed Potatoes and Lobster Mac n Cheese and ended with Chocolate Espresso Cake. It was a wonderful dinner with friends.

Had a family lunch for my parents 50th Anniversary. We were greeted and seated promptly, everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional. They made my parents meal feel special. With table decorations, roses, and special dessert plate. All of the food was excellent, I highly recommend the filled, the Sam’s mashed potatoes, and the flour less chocolate cake.
The table also enjoyed the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella appetizer, as well as the bread baskets. We requested a private room for our group and it was great to be able to talk amongst ourselves and be able to hear each other.
This place feels and is very upscale without making you feel like you have to dress and be stuffy. If it fits within your budget I cannot recommend this place enough. Hope to go back again soon for another special occasion.

The Capital Grill on The Plaza in Kansas City did a fantastic job. I booked a table for six and a table for 12 on New Years Eve at 3:30 pm. The Hostesses Sarah and Kim were able to accommodate our group and place us together… we had a large group! Our server, Brett, did a great job handling everyone’s request. This location was awesome, and that’s why we have made this a NYE tradition the last few years.

Had a lovely meal here with my husband. We had a late lunch and weren’t too hungry, unfortunately. We ordered the tenderloin and lobster tails which the kitchen split for us and the au gratin potatoes. Both were delicious! The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and the lobster tails were divine. Our drinks were wonderful as well! Service was upstanding and attentive! Highly recommend! Come hungry!!
Valet was super fast. We were seated at a beautiful horseshoe table by the hostess for our 2nd anniversary dinner. I tipped her $20 for that and her face just lit up with huge smile. Server Steffan from Morocco was top of the line and attentive to us all evening. My wife said she will never forget this dinner so im happy I made the right choice!

Best experience I’ve had! Valet parking was amazing. Upon arrival staff all greeted us with a small. Our waiter was amazing and very professional. Food was amazing. The table set up was simple but meant so much to us for my husband special day. I will be back and look forward spreading the word.
